Introducing our esteemed judge, Amy Friesen. Beyond her impressive journey from sunny QLD, Australia to the global stages of LA, Vancouver, & Sydney, Amy’s passion for storytelling and creative expression radiates in each role she undertakes. From acting and improv to directing, producing, and now thriving as a voice-over artist and acting teacher for our future stars — Amy’s belief in the power of diverse, human voices echoes in everything she does. Whether it’s her acclaimed films or the feature film she dreams of producing one day, we’re now on the edge of our seats awaiting her next masterpiece.

Nicole Payten-Betts

Producer & Actress

Nicole has a Double Bachelor in Acting and is an internationally award- winning actress.

Nicole is the Producer and lead Actress on Director Dru Brown’s feature film Double or Nothing starring Vince Colosimo, John Jarratt, Robert Rabiah and Steve Mouzakis that had its world premiere this year and is a contender for the AFI AACTA Awards.

Other Film and Television credits include, Nik in hit web series Smoko, The Teacher in Amazon Primes -The Wilds Season 2, Christina in Memoir of a Haunting. Nicole received 1 win and 1 nomination for Best Actress as Karen in Blood Bond. Showgirl in Disney’s George of the Jungle 2, ABC’s East of Everything with Richard Roxburgh and Susie Porter, two seasons as Milly- Channel 9’s New MacDonalds Farm, and lead roles in over 55 television commercials and numerous short films and stage productions.

Currently Nicole is the Director of The Allusion Club studio where she trains youth and teens weekly in acting and presenting lessons for Film and Television.

Filmmaker & Actor

Charlie is an Australian filmmaker and actor known for his emotionally powerful storytelling. He began making films at a young age, gaining recognition with his award-winning short In a World of Copies at 15. He later wrote, directed, and starred in 11 Years, further establishing his reputation as a filmmaker unafraid to explore complex themes.

His most notable project, Is This Forever, has won over 40 awards worldwide, resonating deeply with audiences for its raw portrayal of grief and mental health. Passionate about filmmaking, Charlie is drawn to stories that challenge perspectives and evoke deep emotion. He has worked across various aspects of production, from writing and directing to editing, always striving to create impactful narratives.

Charlie has also lived in Los Angeles and spent time in New York, refining his craft and expanding his industry connections. As an actor, he gained recognition for his role in Neighbours and has since appeared in Last King of the Cross, Crazy Fun Park, and How to Stay Married. Balancing both filmmaking and acting, Charlie continues to push creative boundaries, bringing authenticity and depth to every project.
